Canadian company Make Stuff Move is working to develop hands-on skills opportunities in late elementary and early secondary classrooms. To do this, they have created kits and lessons bridging STEM and the Skilled Trades. Kits are easy-to-deliver, hands-on experiences using common tools, materials, and electronics. Coding and computers are not required…at first. This means their kits can be experienced anywhere and keep the initial experience focused on building hands-on skills and confidence. Once students are ready, Make Stuff Move offers a block editor on their website to simplify diving into Arduino coding.
